Born in 1943 in an agricultural family of Rural India completed medical education at King George’s Medical College, Lucknow U.P. India & passed MBBS with Four Gold Medals, Chancellors Bronze Medal for being all round, best student of the University & eight Certificate of Honors in various subjects. Passed M.S. (Surgery) in 1968. He joined as Lecturer in Surgery (1970) in King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. Since 1970 progressed steadily to the chair of professor. Due to his efforts specially Urology developed in the whole U.P. State & he became the first Head of the Urology Unit in the State.

His area of special interests is prostate disorders & Male infertility. He became Principal & Dean, Faculty of Medicine. Superintendent-in-chief of King George’s Medical College, Lucknow which has been upgraded as Chhatrapati Shahuji  Maharaj Medical University, Lucknow , the first Residential Medical University of India & is the first Vice Chancellor of this University. After superannuation he is practicing surgery in K.K.Hospital, one of the prestigious hospital in Lucknow.

Visited U.K. Japan, West Germany, Israel, U.S.A. & China for specialized training in various fields of Urology & is member of British Association & Urological surgeons & fellow of American College of Surgeons apart from member of Associational Surgeons of India,IMA,USI,National Academy of Medical Sciences & Indian Association of Surgical oncologists & is member of Medical Council of India.

Master Trainer in No Scalpel Vasectomy & Male contraception recognized by Govt. of India & Core Officer, Centre of Excellence for Male Contraception. Trained 32 surgeons in N.S.V. technique, treated more than 25 thousand patients of Male Infertility including Micro surgery for Obstructive Azoospermia.

Total teaching experience of more than 35 years, during which, has taught about 6000 MBBS students & 450 MS (Surgery) Students & trained 10 doctors in endourology & 32 in N.S.V. In ancestral village, started two Intermediate colleges, & by his efforts, 100% literacy has been achieved in the area. Lucknow, has developed a 150 bedded charitable ‘K.K. Hospital’, which has facilities of Urology, ICU, Laparoscopic Surgery & is founder & Hon. President of the K.K. Hospital.
